Legal Question in Health Care Law in Florida

health insurance/worker's comp injury

My personal health insurance coverage states it doesn't cover claims that worker's comp would cover. I believe it is meant for an current injury that happens when they are my personal carrier., therefore worker's comp. must pay.

It also states it Does cover pre-existing conditions as long as I have met those requirements (waiting period or continuous coverage for 12 months).

I had an eye injury on the job and settled my worker's comp. case over 2-years ago. My new/current personal health insurance carrier was not my carrier at the time or the worker's comp. case/injury. Would they exclude me from coverage being it was a worker's comp related injury from the past, or should this fall under pre-existing conditions? Could you shed some light on this for me? Thank you!

Re: health insurance/worker's comp injury

You will need to check the terms of the coverage, but under most circumstances, you would be covered.
