Legal Question in Health Care Law in Florida

healthcare

Is it possible to pursue a case against the Veteran's Administration Healthcare system for medical negligence? I was told that it is a waste of time because the V.A. hospital is a government facility, and I'd never find a lawyer to take the case anyway because they know they will never win. How true is this?

Re: healthcare

You can bring a claim against the government for negligence. A federal law called the Federal Tort Claims Act applies. They are difficult and expensive. There is a limitation on attorneys fees, awhich makes it harder to find a lawyer and your case is tried to a judge -- no jury.

If you care to send me an e-mail with the details of your claim, I will be happy to take a look at it and get back to you.
