Legal Question in Health Care Law in Florida
medical bill
I went to the hospital in florida and they knew I did not have insurance. They treated me and released me. Then I get a bill for 6,000 dollars which has gone to collections and I am unable to pay. what legal ation can they take against me?

Just because the hospital knew that you did not have insurance does not mnean that you do not owe them for the care you sought and received. They can send you to collections; they can sue you for the bill. You should call and try to work out a payment plan that is acceptable to them and you.
