Legal Question in Health Care Law in Florida
medical bills
My son was in hospital recently and we have been getting his bills in slowly. I recieved a phone call today from the hospital and they asked me to pay at least $36 a month. I told them the most I could pay was $5.00 as I have 10 bills to pay. They said they could not accept that and that they would send our account to a collection agency. Are they allowed to refuse my payment of $5.00?

Re: medical bills
They are not going to refuse payment, but they can send the account to collections. Pay what you can and hope that they do not do so.
