Legal Question in Health Care Law in Florida

pregnancy medicaid

I have a difficult situation, I am pregnant and appling for medicaid, I am married and getting a divorce in feburary, my husband is nit the father, we have been seperated for 4 years but not by legal action. Question 1. Is my ex husband going to be affected by me getting medicaid? I am claiming that I don't know who the father is. I live with the father and we are excited about the pregnancy, except for the fact that I don't have insurance. I need to get covered by medicaid, but I am wondering if I put my boyfriend on the birth certificate after the baby is born, will medicaid go after him for repayment? He makes like $42,000 a year which i think disqualifies us for medicaid, but our income could never cover the cost of the babies birth. I am just really scared to lie. I'm going to lying about being married which will be terminated feb. 19, I am lying about not knowing who the father is, and I am also lying about household income. I am really just curious to know if you know how easyily I might get caught and what could happen to me, my boyfriend and my (ex) husband. Thank you

Re: pregnancy medicaid

What you describe is Medicaid FRAUD. You can get caught, you can go to jail and you can be required to pay any back any benefits received.
