Legal Question in Health Care Law in Florida
private insurance vs. medicare
I rejected medicare part B because I have private medical insurance as a retirement benefit from my former employer. My private insurer is now deducting the amount that medicare would have paid, had elected it from their payment This leaves me responsible for that portion of any bill that medicare would have paid if I had it. Can they do this?

it depends on what your employment contract and retirement plan oferred says they can do.
If the contract says that is how it is done, then -- yes -- they can do that. contact human resources.
