wrongly diagnosing my daughter
Can I sue an E.R Dr. for wrongly diagnosing my daughter?
I took my daughter to the E.R. for a bruise on her upper arm, the bruise had a nott under the skin. I thought maybe she was playing around and hurt herself by accident.
I had ask the E.R Dr. to take blood & an e-xray, he told me it's not necessary it's just a hemotoma. So, I took her home and treated the arm myself. A few weeks went by and I notice she's very sluggish and tried, she started complaining that her back hurt along with other things and she started to develope lyhmphoids one behind each ear. So I took her to her Dr. which it was about time for her annual check up. Her Dr. looked her over and notice the notts on her neck, and i told her about the E.R. visit. She ordered labs and a day later a Dr. called me from where I take my daughter to ;he told me to pack a bag and go to the childrens hospital. Come to find out she has Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. It's been about couple a months since the E.R visit, and about threew weeks since my daughter been diagnose

Probably, the short delay diod not cause any injury. You need to check with your oncologist, but I suspect that she is receiving now the same treatment that she would have received if caught earlier and that the prognosis is essentially the same. If so, there is nothing to sue for.
