Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

I was arrested for a drug possession charge in 2007. I plead no contest in 2009 and adjudication was withheld. Later that year, my record was sealed.

I would like to travel to Canada. Will the Canadian Immigration authorities have visibility to my previous record? Am I required to disclose this when entering Canada or any other country?

Unfortunately, sealing your record does not actually seal your record. There is always a paper trail and most departments of law enforcement can view sealed records. Therefore, Canadian officials may be able to see it. It is best to be honest about it. If your charge was for a misdemeanor, I would not worry too much about it.
