Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

B2 Visa Extention, whilst in the US

I married a US citizen one year ago, I am in the US on a B2 Visa, it expires May 15, 2007. I am in the process of applying for permanent residence, I need more time on my B2 visa. How can I get it here in the US without having to leave, and then reenter.

If you have already filed your application for adjustment of status you should not try and get your B stay extended. Instead you should file for an advance parole travel document.

If you have not yet filed your adjustment of status package you need to see an experienced Immigration attorney to file it for you immediately and then you can also seek the advance parole.

You need to complete and submit an I-485. You can get that document from the USCIS website (uscis.gov).

Good luck with your application!
