Baby born in USA-mother is illegal immigrant
I understand that the baby would be a U.S. citizen, the father is American citizen, what would that make the mother?

The mother's immigration status remains unchanged despite giving birth to a U.S. citizen.

Having a child born in the United States will not give the mother any lawful status in the United States.
