Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
Boyfriend's Visa expired 2002? Marriage & U.S. Citizenship advice!
My boyfriend came from Venezuela when he was about 12 yrs old and his visa expired in 2002 (i think). He is illegal as well as his parents. His older half-sister, however, is a U.S. citizen (from marriage) and will soon reclaim his parents. He is turning 20 this summer and I, 17, also in the summer. We plan to have a civil marriage but we want to know what procedures we would have to take in order for him to become a resident, or even better, a U.S. citizen!!! Please help us and thank you in advance for your attention and responses.

After marriage, your husband can apply for permanent residence through marriage to you, presumably a US citizen.
