Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

copies of records

I was asked to compose a letter for a client in the accounting office I work for, they only speak spanish. The client is going to a new attorney and he wants copies of his immagration case papers and department of labor case papers. And they asked me to write this letter requesting such information.

I am not sure how to go about it and I was wondering if you could maybe show me an example letter for such request? Thank you for your time in this matter.

Re: copies of records

I don't have a sample but attorney's must give their clients copies/originals of the client's paperwork upon request; so you need to clarify that the client is seeking new counsel and requires their file and will be coming by to pick it up in, for example, a week from delivery of the letter, which should be sent certified mail return receipt requested just to be safe. This shouldn't be an issue because most lawyers deal with this and have standard policies their offices follow.
