getting a divorce
I have a firend who is getting divorce from a woman who is just applying for residence in the US, he is here for a couple of more months and he wants to know if they get divorced now since she is applying as divorced how would affect him, please answer as much info as you can, he wants to remarry and needs to make sure it won't be a problem

Your question is vague, and a thorough answer demands a consult with an immigration attorney. However, if your friend divorces before getting the green card, then there is no hope unless he/she was battered or abused by the USC spouse during the marriage, etc. Check with attorney for details or email me. Divorce and remarrying US citizen is an option but a red flag int he interview process - which means more evidence required. Email questions.
