Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

Employer withholding paycheck from illigal

My question is, if an illigal alian is hired at a company by verbal agreement, is it legal for the employer to then withhold the alian's paycheck for lack of proper identification on the part of the alian? in other words, if an illigal alian has been working at a company and has not shown proper id, can the company not compensate him for the time he has worked?

Re: Employer withholding paycheck from illigal

The employer could be fined for hiring an illegal alien in the first place and his business shut down. Illegal aliens have no right to work in this country, an alien needs a work permit to lawfully be employed in this country. The employer ethically should not without cause withold pay from anyone, however as an illegal alien there are no laws to protect you since you are illegal and illegally working and the employer is illegally hiring you.
