Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

Florida K12 Admission

My brother-in-law is coming to live with me. He's 13 years old. His sister who currently lives with me would be his only relative.

My question is: may she or I register him at a middle and high school?

Re: Florida K12 Admission

I apologize, but I cannot understand your question. Is this young man in possession of a visa; is he a U.S. citizen; I don't really know whether he belongs in middle or high school. If he is very bright, he probably should be in college. Seriously, you might want to go to the schools and see where he fits it. They will test him. Good luck!

I assume you're asking this because they kids are not here legally. If they are documented, then of course he can go to school. If they are not documented, then you need to find out if they can become documented or at least know the risks in being undocumented. We give consultations regarding all of this. Don't be one of the many who don't bother to know the law until you've gotten yourself or a loved on into a hole.
