Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

Hi, My friend is a permanent resident but her card expired last year in March. She wants to renew it but everyone is telling her not to because she'll get deported. Now she's afraid because she doesn't want to leave her daughter alone and she's only 3 months old. Well this is her case her mom didn't tell her anything about being a immigrant and she had a fight and was sent to juvenile for aggravated assault with deadly weapon which is considered a 2nd degree felony. Will she be deported if she try to renew her green card and she's currently 19 this happen when she was 15

Your friend should consult an attorney about the details of her case. Normally, simply renewing one's green card is not grounds for deportation.
