Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
hey, i am a Syrian citizen with a valid B1,B2 multiple entrance visa staying currently with an american family that invited me over. one of the daughters in this family was getting married in Bolivia so i was invited to the wedding that was due in December 18th 2010 so i applied to the Bolivian visa in the consulate in Miami tow month before the wedding date, i got my approved visa on November 4th 2010 (30 days from the time i enter the country) i bought a 800$ plain ticket (american airlines) i left the states in the 3th of December but when i got to Bolivia they didn't let me get out of the airport and they deported me back to the states after 24 hours trapped in an airport with no where to sleep, and no access to food. they said that i can't get in the country because they don't have my papers and that the Bolivian consulate never sent any paper from Miami to the immigration in Bolivia, and they accused me for faking a visa, but the visa is 100% real (as the person in the immigration in Miami told me when i came back to the states) ... so i wanna sue the consulate of Bolivia in Miami because they gave me a visa and they didn't do their job, i bought a ticket for 800$ and i bought a ticket in going back from Miami to Gainesville for 202$ (american airlines) to go back to the house waiting for the family to come back, there was a physiological, financial damage... i'm still very angry and depressed and every time i think of what happened i feel the same thing...
so what do you think do i have a chance?

I think I would begin by sending a polite letter to the Bolivian consulate explaining the situation and asking for restitution. I think trying to sue the Bolivian government will be difficult and probably much more expensive than the $800 you already lost, because they, of course, will argue that they have every right to deny entrance to any one they want (in other words you don't have any rights with regards to entering a foreign country.)
