Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

Hi,

I am a student currently on F-1, in Florida. I'd like to convert to H4 (my fiance is currently on H1b), in California. We are planning to get married next week in the US. I plan on transferring & applying to various schools in California. I don't wish to continue on F-1 currently and am planning to apply for change of status to H4. However, my plan to convert back to F-1 once a new school issues me a new I-20.

I need clarifications about the following: Do I need to be enrolled full time while the conversion occurs over a period of 180 days? or Is it OK if I am enrolled as a full time student while the process is initiated and the forms are submitted?

Hello:

One cannot attend school until the change of status is approved.
