Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
Hi,
I am currently in the US from the UK on an E2 visa. I am here with a family, ony daughters are both studying and my wife has a green card through our visa.
We arrived here in 2002 but now, due to the economic climate being as bad as it is right now, the company we run linked to our E2 visa is facing the prospect of bankruptcy.
Do i have any hope of remaining in the USA after this has happened, or will i be immediately departed with my family back to England?

You state that your wife has a green card, or permanent residence, and not an E-2 Treaty Investor Visa? If your E-2 status is still valid, USCIS may not know at first that your company shuts down. So, you won't be deported or removed from the U.S. Yet, there may be other visa options or categories which you may be able to pursue. I would need to know more about your professional and academic background.
I'd like to also know more, if so, about how your wife obtained permanent residence.
