Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

HI,

Im interested in opinion of someone who dealt with this kind of case before.

I overstayed my J1 visa, and just got married to US citizen who is willing to apply for my GC. Im Polish.

I know usually the process goes pretty smooth but in my case might not....About 4yrs ago I got arrested for shoplifting, the lawyer at that time advised me to plead guilty which I did and my case got nolle prosse after community service and a class. I would like to know what are my chances of getting a GC are there any waivers to apply for of what should I do?

Thank you

I.
