Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

Hi.. If an illegal is subpoened to go to court as a witness to a misdeamenor case..

Is is possible that he might face some trouble for being 'illegal'?

When he gave a deposition to the lawyers of the guy being acused that is the first thing they asked: Are you an illegal immigrant? He said Yes.

What are the chances of getting in trouble with immigration?

Can you even be deported without never being arrested?

After all he is just a witness....

Should he worry about it??

If the case is a criminal case, and he's helping in the investigation and police or other authorities would sign off on, this person could even get a "U" visa and permanent residence. To know whether the person is qualified or faces a difficult fate as your questions suggest cannot be known without further information.
