Your spouse cannot file an Adjustment of Status application until your priority date is current. I recommend having the paperwork ready to file as soon as your date becomes current, because if your 485 is approved before he files his, he may need to leave the US. He can no longer claim L-2 status since you won't be in L-1 status any more, so he would need to find a different status or leave, if his 485 has not been filed.

Dear Inquirer:

As long as you were married before your I-485 is approved, your spouse will be eligible to adjust status as your dependent.

I recommend that you email me at [email protected] or visit www.hanlonlawgroup.com if you would like to schedule a confidential consultation to discuss this matter further.
