Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

immigration problem

hi, I applied for visa I-485, from a reason that I don't know they closed the case and told me that in order for me to know the reason I need to fill up some form and that I need open my case, I don't know what to do should I re open my case, I mean I don't know why no one notify me that my case was close one year ago, and only after I called I recevied that answer. I was thinking that maybe I should just do student visa, because i'm really going to school and I have a sponser, please let me know what the best thing to do
