I am a USA-citizen homosexual male, if I were to marry my partner, who is illegally residing in Florida, in an same sex marriage approved city, could he then be granted with his residency?

Unfortunately the US immigration service does not recognize same sex marriages and will not grant benefits based upon same sex marriages. Some gay men have been able to obtain asylum, depending upon the individual circumstances.
