Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
LPR Holder Wife.
I am a permanent resident, I married abroad, and have one kid after marriage, because the petition to get my wife here takes 5 years or more.
Can she and my son apply for a visitors visa to stay with me 2 or 3 weeks and then come back, because at this moments she needs to be in her native country to take care of her ailing mother.
Can she apply for a visitors visa and then come back, being me a permanent resident. eventually I am going to apply to have her with me, but..it takes a long time...can she and my son come on a visitor visa...to visit me....and show her the United States.

Re: LPR Holder Wife.
Dear Inquirer:
The Embassy will most likely deny a visitor's visa for the spouse and child of a green card holder, because a tourist cannot be an intending immigrant. If you are eligible for naturalization, I would suggest that you apply, which would allow you to bring your spouse here much quicker than as a green card holder.
I recommend that you email me at [email protected] or visit www.hanlonlawgroup.com if you would like to schedule a confidential consultation to discuss this matter further.
