Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
Marriage to an illegal immigrant
My fiance' and I have been together for over 4 years. We would like to marry but he's not here legally...he's from Mexico. I've never met such a caring, hard worker and I need to know what steps to take so we may be together and he may further his career....legally. Tank you.

Re: Marriage to an illegal immigrant
Marriage to a US citizen would qualify him for lawful permanent residence, although lack of lawful entry to the U.S. would mean he would have to return to Mexico to process through the U.S. consulate in Ciudad Juarez.
It would also likely involve an extreme hardship waiver if he's been in the U.S. out of status for over 6 months.
