Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
a person arriving in the usa from cuba as a child, previously a green card holder, now only on work permit status, spent time in prison in the usa, would like to upgrade to permanent status, what can be done in such case?

There is not enough information provided in your question. To start with: what happened to that person's Green Card? Was it revoked? What was he/she in prison for? The answers to these questions may shed some light as to the possibility to upgrade your status.
