Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

Possibility to travel outside the US??

Hi, I'm a legal worker in the U.S. (have a valid work permit) applied thru LULAC 10 years ago but still nothing happened. Now my parents that are U.S. citizens petitioned me and I received the acceptance but still the papers are taking long. The problem is that I'm being invited by the Government of Dominican Republic to give a Seminar in their country for a week and I don't know if I can get the permit here to travel without causing a problem with my papers.

Thank you very much for any insight you can give me...

Re: Possibility to travel outside the US??

From your fact pattern, it is unclear whether you are a resident. If not, then you may NOT travel regardless of the reason. Probably not the answer you want to hear, but the law is clear.
