Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
I'm renewing my E2 visa (I'm Canadian). I started my own LLC and have been taking out wages the past couple of years as a 1099 employee. I have a valid SSN# and have filed taxes every year etc... and in all respects meet the E2 conditions. I just realized though that I failed to secure a work authorization to be an employee of my own company. Have I seriously erred and now risk not getting renewed?

Hello:
That entirely depends on how the first E-2 was set up. An analysis of the previously approved E-2 is necessary to answer this.
