Re: resident alien looking for derivative citizenship
Why not simply apply for citizenship on your own? It is not likely that you can derive citizenship from your grandparents unless your parents are deceased, and even there the rules of derivative citizenship are very complex. Without other facts, it is difficult to determine whether you derived U.S. citizenship in any way -- but you can apply if you have been a lawful permanent resident for over five years. Get it yourself -- it's a lot faster than trying to prove the other. Good luck!
