Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
shop lifting
I was invloved in shop lifting crime less than $100.00 in April'2003 (Florida state). I was told by law enforcement authorities that this will not affect your immigration and some one told to go for diversion program. I have completed the program and my charged were dropped by the court. Unfortuanltey I did'nt realize the concequences of Immigration and now I'm worried about my green card processing. Is there any work around? I apprecite your advice.
Thanks in advance,
Venu

Re: shop lifting
If you in fact received PDI this is not a conviction in FL. If you are uncertain, you would have to hire me to conifrm same in a consultation or through studying the disposition.
Thanks
