Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

USA - UK Visa

I am in a removal proceedings at this moment. If I decide that I will need to leave the country and then have my wife (as USC) file an I-212, would we be allowed to reside in the UK together? If so, how would we get VISAs from the UK to do this? Thank you.

Re: USA - UK Visa

Are you a citizen of the UK? If you are, why wouldn't you be able to reside together there? If your spouse is married to a UK citizen, I presume that she can get a visa to be with you. On the other hand, if you are not a citizen of the UK, it is not likely that you will obtain a visa easily, nor will your wife. I presume that you are a lawful permanent resident, yes? Please make sure you have a good attorney for the removal proceedings, okay? If you are married to a U.S. citizen, and came into the U.S. legally, then fight to allow an adjustment of status based on an approved I-130. If you want to go to the UK to live, then you need to get residency there. Good luck!
