work application

i want to apply for jobs. but most places give an application to be filled out. Am i legally able to turn in an application if i check the ''NO'' box for the question ''Are you legally able to work in the US''?

You should tell the truth about your eligibility to work on any I-9 form you fill out in conjunction with a job application.
