please help me get my work permit

i had a work permit in 2005 and 2006 ,they in 2007 i was told to send 340.00 i did three time and they keep deninig my work permit, i have been out of a job for two years now. I have a family to feed.I have a job pending but need a work permit to work.

Dear Inquirer:

Work permits are generally only issued while an applicant has a pending application, such as an application for adjustment of status, asylum, or cancellation of removal. The denial notice should identify the basis for the denial of the work permit and indicate whether any underlying application has been denied.
