Accident involving an unoccupied, parked vehicle
Situation: Parked, unoccupied vehicle parked in front of a private residence behind a driveway. Person across street reversed into parked car.
Stats: Acura RSX was the unoccupied vehicle. Land Rover Discovery was vehicle that hit Acura RSX. Measurement of 14 feet from outer edge of rear tire to beginning of curb. Measurement of 16 feet from outer edge of rear tire to end of Land Rover Discovery--name removed--driveway. Accident occured at night on a well light residential street.
Land Rover owner says: RSX blocked me in my driveway, RSX owner is at fault. Because RSX owner refuses to go to Land Rover owner--name removed--friend to fix damage, Land Rover owner has threatened to sue RSX owner if a claim is made through insurance.
Please shed some light on this.

The owner of the Acura can present a claim to the insurance carrier for the Land Rover. A judge will decide the comparative fault of each party. i see little or no fault on the Acura.
