Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

Amount of money I can realistically ask for and get .

I have a question concerning an auto accident I was involved in. I was totally not at fault in this accident, but I was injured. I spoke to my insurance agent and he notified me that I will be able to negotiate the amount of money I will receive as a result of this accident. As part of this negotiation,my insurance agent told me we would be negotiating a PIP and BI amount. I would like to know how much I can get for this accident? I am still getting frequent headaces and I do not have the money for an attorney to represent me. I do not know much about this and yorhel will be greatly appreciatd. Once again, I would like to know the amount of money I can realistically ask for and get to cover the costs of this incident. Thaking you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter.

Re: Amount of money I can realistically ask for and get .

Your question asks how high is up, realistically.Without knowing the full extent of your medical bills, hospital bills, loss of earnings or the future forecast of your injuries no one can answer, even a clairvoyant. You are sorely in need of an experienced personal injury attorney who can meet with you and get hard answers from you and your doctors. You say you can't afford an attorney. Don't you know that injury lawyers will work on a percentage of recovery basis with nothing up front. The customary fee is 1/3 for settlement, 40% if in suit. Usually you can get a free initial consult. The worst place to seek advice is from an insurance agent. (I was a licensed Florida ins agent for over 30 years). First question is: What are the policy limits of the at fault party and do you have underinsured coverage in your policy? They work for the Company! Call me if you want a recommendation to a qualified lawyer in your area. 305-445-5475.
