Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
auto claim
I was at work last night when the parking lot flooded and my car was flooded. The interior was full of water and the car would not start. Since this occurred in my employer's parking lot are they responsible for the damages?

Re: auto claim
It depends on whether they did something wrong. Just because something happens on the employer's, or anyone's property for that matter, it does not mean they are liable. If they knew or should have known of the condition that caused the flood, then they are responsible. If it is a first time event, though -- then probably not.
