Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
Back in May while leasing a home in NC I had an accident at a gun range. I severed a tendon in my left thumb requiring extensive replacement tendon surgery. When the accident happened I was with the owner of the home which I was leasing and went to the gun range with him at his invitation. The accident was my own fault. My questionIs his home owners insurance on the property which I was leasing from him available to assist me with my expenses incurred by the accident?
1 Answer from Attorneys
The answer depends on NC law. You really need to discuss this with an attorney from there. If the policy has medical payment coverage and you are not excluded, it may provide you those benefits. You are likely an insured in light of the fact that you were renting and likely are not covered.
