Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
Car accident and devalutation of vehicle
I was rearended at a stoplight and the other driver was ticketed for careless driving. His insurance company paid for the damages on my car. My car was blue booked at roughly $7500 before being hit and now as a result of the accident it is worth less than $6000. Can I get reimbursed for the loss of value of my car. And if so, how would I go about it. Thank you.

I assume that you did not give the insurance company a complete release concerning the property damage. You are entitled to the dimunition in value occasioned by the severe damage that was repaired. Be prepared to prove this with written appraisal from a qualified expert.
