Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

My old car insurance Company Says I Owe Them $75,000.00

My old Insurance company is telling me I owe them $75,000.00 from a accident my sister was in from driving my car. They say I didn't have any uninsured motor vehicle coverage. Which they told me was something that wasn't required for me to have but now they want $75,000.00 plus they sent a letter to the Motor Vehicle Dept. And Dept. of Public Safety/Safety Responsibility Unit to have them Suspend my Drivers License. Both me and the other person had the same insurance company. I want to know why, if I was responsible for the money than why wasn't there anyone

there representing me in all of this? How do I know if this payout is legitamit? And if this is a required insurance than why do people have an option to reject it? And why when asked they tell you that its not required? Also how can they try to have my license suspended, on a basis such as this? Why would they state of Florida put them before a tax paying citizen? I have lots to ask as you can see.

This appears to be subrogation claim. This is an area of law that I handle. I would need more information before commenting on your rights. You certainly need legal representation. Good luck.
