Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
Our condo in Naples Florida was damaged by a fire in the unit above us. The fire was caused by a contractor they hired to remodel the kitchen. We did not have insurance at that time, can we sue their insurance company to claim our losses?

No, you sue the neighbor and contractor.

You have a claim against the owner of the condominium where the fire started, and a claim against the contractor who caused the fire too. Their insurance companies will be involved in trying to resolve the claim.
These can be complicated claims. We have handled many similar cases, and would be happy to discuss the situation with you. We offer a free initial consultation.
