credit life insurance
10 yrs ago i purchased credit life ins for what i belived to cover a home mortgage in the event of my husbands death. now 10 ys later i find out that the bank only purhcased a 10 year decreasing term policy to mature in 2003 so upon my husbands death they only paid off approx 9 months of the balance of the note. i never received a cerificate of insurance or policy making me aware of the type of limitations. do i have any legal recourse

Unfortunately, it is not what you believed but what you were told and what the policy stated that counts. I suggest you review the information to see if what they promised is what you recieved. Good luck.
