Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

disability insurance & social security

I receive disability insurance from Unium Provident. My wife has turned 62 and will soon be receiving social security on my record. Unium Provident tells me that they will cut off my disability now because of my wife's check from S.S. Can they do this? Thanks

Re: disability insurance & social security

read the contraft. Or, ask them for the specific provision that would allow this. It is not unusual for disability payments to be reduced by the amount of social security payments.
