Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
filing insurance claim
I fell down steps while looking at a house to purchase.I contacted the real estate agency and the home owner to find out the name of the homeowners insurance company name, neither will tell me .How do I go about finding out the name?

Florida law requires a disclosure of insurance coverage but it has no teeth. You can write them a letter demanding this information or seek an attorney. There may be medical payments coverage on the policy or a defect in the steps that justify legal liability against the owner or the broker.
