Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
fraud on health insurance
What can I do about ins co embesslement and fraud. My hospital bill was never paid after almost three years and now they have me in collection agency, even though I contacted hospital with my policy # and the lawyer's # and states attorney's # in Calif handling case. Hospital attorney wants me to pay up front, then get reimbursed after the cased is settled. What should I do? Pay or wait it out with black check on my credit. The hospital said they were contacted by attorney for ins co, but never received paper for litigation from him , so they persuded with collections. Please help, worked to hard to keep my credit in good standing.

Contact the Florida Dept of Insurance to find out if any complaints have been filed against the insurance carrier. File one yourself.
