Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
My girlfriend wrecked her car and only after we found out that her insurance was cancelled, she still owes money on her car. The insurance company never sent any cancellation notice or anything so there was no way of knowing that it was cancelled. Are they responsible still for paying for the car?

The insurance company can cancel a policy for a number of reasons. However, they have to send notice to the owner if they are canceling the policy. These cases are complicated, but you may have a claim against the insurance company regarding their claim that the policy was canceled. We have handled a number of similar claims. We offer a free initial consultation and would be happy to speak with you about the situation.
