Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida
no insurance auto accident
I was involved in a car accident where the other driver was cited for violation of right of way. It turns out that the car was owned by the drivers, brothers fiance. Now I am being told by car owner that she does not have insurance, and the driver was not allowed to be driving the car. And now has left state and went back to Indiana. What do I have to do since my car was totaled? And I do not have uninsured motorist insurance and/or collision.

Re: no insurance auto accident
I advise all my clients who own a car to have uninsured personal injury coverage to protect them from just such a scenario. Collision coverage on new cars should also be purchased. Unless the owner &/or driver have assets to pay off any judgment forget about it. Sorry !
