I have made an insurance claim on my wedding rings that I lost. They have already taken a recorded statement and sent me to a store about getting it replaced. I then got a letter that said ''There is a question as to wheter or not you have intentionally concealed or misrepresented a material fact or circumstance relating to this insurance''.The insurance company then told me I have to make a statement under oath. I just got a letter from an attorney they hired saying this statements in now an ''Examination Under Oath'' and they are now asking for lots of personal information. They are asking for bank statements, mortgages statements, electric bills, water bills, cell phone records from the 5 days surrounding the time I lost me rings, old W-2's from 2006 & 2007, documentation of wages earned for 2006 & 2007 for me and my husband. Can they do this?

Yes. Your policy will almost certainly have a provision requiring you to provide a statement under oath. Look for it in the policy. If you cannot find it just write and ask them for where the policy requires you to do what they request of you.
