Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

Insurance code

My car was parked - someone hit it - I have police report but no insurance company info - they are insured but not in NY - Insured in Florida so Motor Vehicles says I have to request the code - which I did. I've been waiting 2 months for a insurance code or company-followed up 3x no luck. I have no car, no claim - I'm stuck and I'm sure it will take forever once I get the code. How else can I get someones insurance code?

The NY Depatment of Insurance in Albany has assigned a code # to every insurance company licensed to do business. Call them and they will give you the information over the phone. Then call that insurance company to see if they have a file set up.
