can you take out a life insurance policy out on someone without them noing.

People often take out life insurance policies on their new born babies who have no idea their life is being insured. As for adults, you have to have an insurable interest in the life being insured to buy a policy, that would in most cases be a close family member. For example, you could not buy a policy on the life of a friend, neighbor or co-worker. In addition, most larger policies would require some medical exam.
